Athlumney Riverside Walk

This is a feature we're keen to see developed and promoted because we see great potential for the community. Having only discovered it ourselves 2 months ago we've encountered very few residents who knew of its existence.

A project proposal has been drafted but the River Boyne and it's banks are in no rush to be developed. A calm measured approach is being proposed since we don't wish to rush to create something worthwhile which could unintentionally do as much harm as it will good.

We still believe the path should be made accessible but we certainly don't want to make a huge mistake by damaging the natural habitat by imposing good intentions.

A survey is needed to record not just the paths but also the flora, fauna and wildlife. The JTT could be the group to take on this challenge.

The Athlumney Riverside has been there a long time and it will still be there for a long time to come.
