June 2019

Having won the Endeavour Award last year for achieving the biggest score improvement in County Meath this is Johnstown Tidy Towns 3rd Year.

This edition promotes their work and aims for 2019 but the Competition itself only helps to focus the groups activities, they need YOUR support to make them happen.

2018 Recap

Message from the Chairperson

2019 Looks Good

The Map below illustrates this years action locations, click on it to explore a larger version. Many action points are outlined in this months articles but it doesn't cover everything. More is being discussed so keep an eye on the JTT Facebook Page.

Get ‘Hands On’

The JTT is no different to any other community group, they need more volunteers taking part, more active involvement and a steady flow of suggestions and ideas to ensure that the projects undertaken have direct relevance to the community.

Desire to Learn

Workshops and Talks have all been 'on hold' with the absence of a community meeting space. The JTT has groups ready to come and provide input whilst another local group are working on obtaining a facility to host these activities.

Community

The JTT really do want to hear from YOU.

Your input is vital and they are awaiting on your suggestions, energy and enthusiasm to gather momentum and support from others who share and develop your ideas.

There's a huge potential for nearly every type of activity formed around the sense of Home, Community Spirit and Environment.

Get Involved

The JTT are not just about litter picking, they need people to survey, media support, gardeners, designers, carpenters, electricians, labourers, painters and decorators, project managers ....... in fact everyone and all skills!

Get in touch with them and lets see where it leads.

Collaborate

Navan has formed Tidy Towns Groups and we're hoping to meet up in the near future to see how they can work together.

We're looking forward to seeing what they share in common and how this can unfold into a potential partnership.
