Johnstown Tidy Towns teamed up Rochfort Property Maintenance and Navan RFC to make St Martha's Bridge sparkle once again.

GAA Nursery Returning

Save the date. March 4, 2022 at 6pm on our astro turf pitches. All children aged 4 and 5 welcome to join in on the fun.

Your child can expect a warm welcome, oodles of fun and a welcome pack full of goodies. All they need is a pair of runners and they are good to go!

Keen to get a head start on Spring growth Coláiste Na Mí students of the TY Horticulture class sow vegetable and herb seeds in their new Polytunnel.

Just in time for Spring

The Grow Shop have donated 60 bags of compost to Johnstown Tidy Towns who plan to share these with the 'growing' community.

Book Collection

Coláiste Na Mí have a Book Drive organised by the Student Council to stock the shelves of their new student library. You can donate books at reception from Monday 17th until Friday 21st.

Suspicious Activity

Residents in Bailis Downs estate reported an individual checking out cars in the estate at 3AM. No reports of damage or theft but we are reminding everyone to report such incidents to Navan Garda Station, or 999 if no answer.

Making Paths Safer

From February 1st 2022 the fine for parking a vehicle on a footpath, cycle lane or bus lane is set to double from €40 to €80.

NOTE: This includes the Johnstown Shopping Centre delivery drivers.

Involve Youth Project Meath have an exciting programmes coming up in January and February every Thursday and Friday in Navan.

Buyer Beware - Controversial Site For Sale

Land approved for housing next to the Bailis Village Apartments, Metges Road is for sale via daft.ie

Each development proposal has been vigorously appealed and protested by the community due to the over sized scale of each proposals, the destruction of a large biodiversity habitat, the loss of a significant neighbourhood feature, and the additional strain placed on local infrastructure and facilities (or lack of).

104 apartments were approved in 2019 but with restrictive conditions for car space numbers. View our 2019 Article for details.

It is inevitable that another developer will try again.

Attempted Break-ins.

Johnstown Wood residents report that Navan Gardai recorded 4 phone calls Monday morning during the 'school run'. A man wearing ski mask and dark clothing is ireported to have been attempting to gain entry via the back garden door.

Contact Navan Gardai, or 999, to report any suspicious activity.

Kennedy Plaza Petition

Redesigned in 2008 as a Civic Space in the heart of Navan the plaza continues to be used as a 'Pay and Display' carpark.

Seeking Community Support

Volunteers with Johnstown Tidy Towns made their first 2022 delivery of food hampers to disadvantaged families in County Meath.

They are seeking donations of non perishable food throughout the year via 085 1757216 or drop off at 15 Boyne View Johnstown Navan .

Our u14 girls are welcoming any girls born in 2008/2009 who would like to give rugby a go.

They don’t need to have played rugby before.

At Navan RFC we are very passionate about girls rugby and any girl wanting to give rugby a go will be welcome and can try for free for a few weeks.

Offered to post primary students, FREE of charge, it’s open to solo musicians, bands, or to anyone who is interested in music/music tech. You will have access to our fully equipped tech studio and musical instruments and be guided by our experienced professional musician educators
