Bridge Flowers Vandalised
Early morning walkers alerted the JTT that vandals had tampered with half a dozen display boxes on St Martha's Bridge.
Fence Vandalised
Possibly connected to the bridge flower basket vandalism the section of the fence opposite Athlumney Abbey junction was destroyed. Although the damage is considerable it is understood that the fence timber was fairly rotten.
Perhaps it's time to take the entire fence down?

This week Johnstown Tidy Towns Community Support Volunteers collected food donations and 'Back To School Packs' from Inner City Helping Homeless.

Pride Of Place
Entered into the Best New Entrant, Best Large Town, and Actions for Pollinators, Johnstown Tidy Towns have this year made their first entry into the National Competition and today showcased their work to a visiting judge.
Pollinator Projects
Johnstown Tidy Towns have erected street posters to promote their involvement in supporting biodiversity throughout the neighbourhood.
Not all the locations are as colourful as the Bothar Sion Fence Line but each is vital to supporting insects and wildlife.

The Johnstown Tidy Towns Sunflower Trail flowers are starting to show around the neighbourhood. Keep an eye out at 23 sites along an 8km trail.

Professional Performers Wanted
Meath County Council is calling on Meath based professional performers to get in touch to be considered for a programme of live and streamed outdoor performances funded through the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme 2021.
