Local Health Services
In June the North East Doctor On Call (NEDOC) service returned to Navan to it's new Academy Square location. It was temporarily relocated in Nov 2019 to Dunshaughlin Health Centre after it's previous prefab building in Navan Hospital became unviable for use.
This relocation puts NEDOC back in the geographical centre of County Meath and comes as a relief to anxious patients in North Meath who were faced with an extra 20 minute journey.
The new Academy Square location is only a temporary location. It may however be quite a while longer until the purpose made HSE Primary Care Centre planned for Navan is created. It is expected to be up and running by 2022 at Moathill where you can see the construction site near the Navan Retail Park and St Patrick's Classical School.
We are however very grateful that the service is back in Navan offering out of hours GP service. Please note that it is strictly by appointment via 1850 777 911 and further information is available on their website www.nedoc.ie.
