DJ Mgiftana back with a bang for 'All Black Sunday Kos' in Joburg
House DJ and producer Mgiftana will soon host his star-studded All Black Sunday Kos event.
DJ Mgiftana, whose real name is Gift Bembe, will host Mgiftana and Friends, All Black Sunday Kos on June 15 at Vibes On Main in Wynberg, Johannesburg.
The event will feature Kabza De Small, Njelic, DJ Christos, Foxyaza, Kitchen Mess, DJ Fresh and Jazziq.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the 38-year-old said he feels great to host his event since he was welcomed back in the music industry with warm hands. “I have a lot to thank for my return in the music industry, guys like Oskido, Stokie, Jazziq played a pivotal role in my life. Today I'm back where I was before and that feels great.”
DJ Mgiftana gained early recognition in the 2000s under the mentorship of music legend DJ Oskido and was notably the youngest DJ to secure a slot on YFM.
Despite facing challenges after a car crash in 2000 that affected his speech and mobility, DJ Mgiftana has continued to thrive in the music industry. He has performed in the Southern African Development Community region and is known for his dynamic sets and resilience.
“During the Durban July I'll host a vinyl session at Mojo's car wash and Perere marquee, but looking forward to my All Black because it'll pave the way for [my] upcoming EP.”
