South African acts Liquideep and Spoek Mathambo have been nominated for this year's Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards.
The acts have both earned nominations in the Best African Act category, alongside eight other artists including Cheikh Lo (Senegal), Owiny Sigoma Band (Kenya) and Smod (Mali).
Liquideep won a South African Music Award at this year's ceremony for Best Duo/ Group.
Mathambo is based in Sweden and was previously a member of the rap-electro duo Sweat.X. His latest album is titled Mshini Wam. He was signed to legendary American label Sub Pop in June.
The UK MOBO awards are given to artists of any race and nationality who make "black" music and have been running since 1996. Other nominees this year include Jessie J, Adele, Rihanna and Beyonce.
The ceremony will take place in Glasgow on October 5 and winners are determined by public votes.
